Every new account starts with 7 days of full access — the AI food scanner, multi-angle capture, nutrition-label and QR scanning, and the AI Coach, all unlocked. The clock starts when you create your account, not when you first open a particular screen.

When the trial ends, CalBud does not lock you out. Logging meals, food search, barcode scanning, water, weight, history, streaks and Groups all stay free, forever. Only the AI features ask you to upgrade. Pro is $4.99/month or $39.99/year.

CalBud Pro is billed by Apple or Google, not by us — so cancellation happens in your store account, and we cannot cancel it for you.

On iPhone or iPad: open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, choose CalBud AI, then Cancel Subscription.

On Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose CalBud AI and cancel.

Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does NOT cancel the subscription; it keeps billing until you cancel it in the store.

In the app, open the Profile tab and scroll to the bottom, then tap Delete account and confirm. This is permanent: it removes your account along with your logs, photos and profile data.

One thing it does not do is cancel an active subscription — Apple and Google own that record, so cancel in your store settings first (see above), then delete the account.

If you can no longer sign in and need the account removed, use the form below from the email address on the account and we'll handle it.

On any post in a group, tap the ••• menu. Report post lets you pick a reason — spam, harassment, inappropriate, misinformation or other — and add detail; reports come straight to us for review.

The same ••• menu has Block. Blocking removes that person's posts and comments from everywhere in CalBud, immediately.

You can see and undo your blocks any time at Profile → Blocked accounts. If something needs urgent attention, write to us with the form below rather than waiting on the queue.

They are estimates, not measurements. CalBud looks at your photo (or your description) and predicts what the food is and roughly how much of it there is — capturing two or three angles gives it the depth and portion cues a single flat photo can't, which is why we ask for them.

Expect it to be close on recognisable, well-lit plates and less certain on mixed dishes, sauces, and anything hidden under something else. That is exactly why every result is editable before you log it: change the food, change the portion, or nudge the calories and the macros move with them.

CalBud is a general wellness tool, not medical, dietary or clinical advice. Do not rely on it for allergy decisions, medication timing, or anything a doctor or dietitian should be answering — verify independently and talk to a qualified professional.

Search results and barcode scans are looked up in public nutrition databases: USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts, and FatSecret.

Photo analysis is different — there is no database entry for your particular plate, so those numbers are generated by our AI from the image and then matched against typical values for the foods it identified.

Packaged-food entries are only as good as the database behind them, and crowd-sourced records occasionally carry a wrong serving size. If a barcode result looks off, edit it before logging — and tell us, so we can check it.
